In December and January the small Valle di Trona above Val Gerola in Northern Italy was visited by Cristian Candiotto who made the (probable) first ascents of two icefalls, Crys (II/5, 60m) and Mutua day (150m II/3). While Mutua day was first climbed on 12 December 2012 together with Paolo Lancini, the nearby drip Crys was ascended on 26 January together with Alfredo Tosarini. It is worth noting that these two routes are the third addition to the valley after Couloir Del Caimano, first climbed by Candiotto in free solo in 2007.
