La Bella Addormentata (170m, 6+) in Valsugana, Italy, first ascended by Alessandro Beber and Peter Moser on 04/02/2010.
At the start of February the the two aspiring Mountain Guides Alessandro Beber and Peter Moser carried out the coveted first ascent of the icefall La Bella Addormentata (170m, 6+) in the low-lying Valsugana, a stone's throw from the Italian Dolomites. They described their Sleeping Beauty as follows: "Beautiful icefall located close to Lochere close to Lake Caldonazzo in the Valsugana, right at the start of the narrow Val Scura. This drip rarely if ever comes into contiona and since it's situated at a low altitude it offers wettish ice which must be climbed with due care and attention only when conditions are 100% perfect. "
