A date, a name. The route climbed on the 6th of January - the Feast of the Epiphany when one of Italy's oldest legends, the Befana, bestows gifts on good children - couldn't have been given a different name by the Italians Dario De Rossi and Renato Bortolato. The route is located on the forerunner of the West Face of Monte Col, at the start of Val Grande in the Cadore Dolomites, and was immediately repeated by Gino Visentin, Marino Casarin and Mirko Casale.

Dario De Rossi describes the line as being an interesting and fun drip which offers beautiful climbing in a quiet setting, 110m high with moderate II/4 difficulties. As so often happens with icefalls the route comes with a "disclaimer": careful research has resulted in the icefall being untouched, but should someone else have climbed it previoulsy then we'll obvioulsy update and rectify everything.
