On 25 October 2018 David Lama completed an extraordinary solo ascent of Lunag Ri in the Himalayas. This climb capped two previous attempts on the 6907m peak situated on the border between Nepal and Tibet; in 2015 with Conrad Anker to within 300 meters of the summit, in 2016 just 250 meters short of the top, solo, a few days after Anker’s stroke during the acclimatisation phase.

While waiting for our interview due to be published shortly, enjoy this footage which is nothing short of spectacular.
