Beautiful route up excellent rock, only 6 pitches long but demanding throughout. Protected by a mix of bolts and trad gear. 5 technical pitches up rough rock lead to the athletic and pumpy final pitch with a 10m overhang above a massive void. The two-hour approach, almost entirely along a good path, leads through a beautiful and wild setting.
Access
The route starts above the short step, at the base of a grey slab, 7-8m to the left of the U-shaped peg and start of the route Supercrack. The first bolt is located high up, threaded with a sling. Descent
Abseil down the route, take care on the last pitch as this overhangs 10m.
Alternatively, on foot, scramble 100m up to the plateau with cairn markers, follow the track right horizontally along the scree for circa 1.5km to below the summit of Cima Santa Maria, descend right towards Sella del Montoz and path # 338. Gear
Full alpine climbing rack. 2 x 60 ropes, a set of Totemcams, blue 0.5, yellow Camalot BD, 12 quickdraws.
