Bombay Bouldering: 5th Girivihar Open Competition
The traditional 5th international Girivihar Open Bouldering Competition will take place on 25-27/01/2008 in Bombay (India). Furthermore, this competition will mark the start of a climbing tour to the most important climbing areas in India organised by Patrick Edlinger and Jean-Luc Jubert.

5th Girivihar Open international Sports Climbing and Bouldering Competition - Bombay 25-27/01/2008
Bouldering, it seems, is increasingly becoming climbing's version of esperanto. Further confirmation of bouldering's capacity to cross borders and act as a bridge between different nations and cultures now comes from Bombay which on 25-27 January will host the 5th international Girivihar Open Bouldering Competition. The event, other that attracting climbers from all across India, will also be attended by some guest stars from the northern hemisphere.
Climbers who have written important pages of climbing history such as Jacques Perrie (alias Pschitt) will take part, as well as other super athletes such as Alex Chabot, Cédric Lo Piccolo and others. Patrick Edlinger, a pillar of modern sports climbing, will be there too and, together with Jean-Luc Jubert he has contributed in the organisation of the event with the Indian club Girivihar and Top Rock Adventures
The international open will also be starting date for the "Climbing Tour" which, naturally, is open to all. Departing from Bombay on 28 January, the tour will visit the most important bouldering areas in India - including Hampi (one of the largest granite bouldering areas in the world) and Badami with its sandstone lines in the heart of paleontological site shrowd in history - to finish in Bombay on 8 February.
To register contact Jean-Luc Jubert via e-mail: jeanlucjubert@hotmail.fr no later than 18 January 2008.
