Leonardo Di Marino wins the International Mountain Guides’ Climbing Championship 2001, held in Lecco last weekend.
Leonardo Di Marino is the winner of the International Mountain Guides’ Climbing Championship 2001, held in Lecco last weekend. The Italian Mountain Guide placed first ahead of Massimo Bal (2nd) and Bruno Sartorelli (3rd).

49 guides from Italy, Switzerland, France and Poland took part in the two-day event, competing on routes set by Stefano Alippi. As usual, the event was divided into 5 age categories, A-E.

Massimo Da Pozzo from Cortina placed first in category A, while Leonardo Di Marino won category B. Giovanni Spinelli won category C, Konrad Staltmayr from Germany won category D and Mario Senoner from Italy won category E.
