Watch Amity Warme climb Book of Hate in Yosemite

The video of American climber Amity Warme repeating Book of Hate, one of the best corner climbs in Yosemite Valley, USA, first ascended by Randy Leavitt.

Book of Hate is a 45 meter pitch of strenuous stemming up a progressively steepening corner in Yosemite, widely regarded as one of the best corner climbs in the valley. Located at Elephant Rock and first climbed by Randy Leavitt in 1999, this single-pitch 5.13d/8b is a true test piece of difficult stem climbing. It is mostly bolted, but relies on the smallest of trad gear in the overhung crux section near the top. In November 2023 Amity Warme dug deep for the send, despite climbing with what she later found out to be a fully ruptured A2 pulley in her middle finger!
