Jordan Buys climbs 9a at Malham Cove in England

The latest news stems from last Friday when Buys repeated Rainshadow, the outstanding route freed by Steve McClure at Malham Cove exactly a decade ago. The route starts up Raindogs (on of England's most famous 8a's) to then continue past the chain and breach the enormous roof.

"I'm super pleased to have done this route. Cant stop smiling!" was Jordan's comment this morning and quite rightly so: he's in excellent company as the only other climber to have sent Rainshadow is Adam Ondra. For the record, this is also the first time that one of Steve McClure's many fearsome 9a's has been repeated by a Brit. A moment many have waited for since 1988!
