Italy’s Alessandro Zeni recently made a rare repeat of Bimbaluna, the legendary 9a/9a+ testpiece established by François Nicole at Saint Loup in Switzerland in March 2004. Prior to his redpoint it started snowing heavily and although these conditions thwarted his success, after a return to his camper van for a good cup of coffee the weather improved and Zeni managed to balance his way through the technical 7-move crux on only his 8th attempt spread out over three days.
