A beautiful autumn crag. Ciastlins in the Dolomites is the starting point for a new crags series we've developed to introduce the best crags in Northern Italy ideal for different times of the year. Each crag will be introduced by a short introduction, contain access info, a list of recommended routes and a rich portfolio. And so in the coming months we'll discover a dozen or so crags ideal for this autumn.

This project is the result of a collaboration between Planetmountain.com and Vertical-Life, the South Tyrolean publishing house that has published three climbing guides this year, Arco Summer Spots, Best of Arco and Sportclimbing in the Dolomites, Dolomiten – Dolomiti. Apart from being translated into Italian, German and English, what renders these guidebooks particularly interesting is the fact that they can also be downloaded as an Android App. On that note, it's worth pointing out that until December 2013 the App containing the 56 crags in the South Tyrol can be downloaded free of charge. For those who wish to buy the print version of Sportclimbing in the Dolomites, we obviously recommend our Shop.Planetmountain.com.

So let's now begin our journey to discover the "Crags for each season" with Ciastlins, a particular choice for sunny autumn cragging days.
