American climber Ashima Shiraishi has reported on her Instagram account that she has repeated Jade, the famous 8B+ boulder problem established in 2007 by Daniel Woods in the Rocky Mountain National Park, Colorado, USA.

In 2016 and at a mere 14 years of age Shiraishi became the first woman in the world to climb 8C (V15) with her repeat of Horizon at Mount Hiei in Japan, and this success came two years after having become only the second female climber to send 8B+ after Tomoko Ogawa, with her 2013 ascent of Golden Shadow at Rocklands in South Africa.

Jade shot to international fame in 2015 when Adam Ondra made an inspirational flash ascent of the crimpy line, completing what at the time was the world’s hardest flash. Jade has been climbed by other women in the past, including Alex Puccio in 2014 and Brooke Raboutou in 2020.
