In April 2013 German climbers Roland Hemetzberger and Fabian Hagenauer spent 5 days establishing Tabula Rasa. All pitches, except the first, were forged ground-up; the starting pitch was bolted from above seeing that the first belay can accessed easily from the side.
Getting there
From Marrakech reach Taghia. Access
Paroi de la Cascade: Tabula Rasa takes a line circa 50m to the right of Babybel and 100m to the right Walou Bass through a spectacular, steep section of the face. Itinerary
P1: 8b
P2: 7b
P3: 8a
P4: 7b+
P5: 6c
P6: 7a
P7: 7a+
P8: 7b
P9: 7a Notes
While all belays are bolt protected, due to the long run-outs Tabula Rasa should be considered "a modern alpine sports climb."
