Neolit breaches superlative rock up the sunny Piz dla Dorada face above the small village of Kolfuschg in the Gadertal - Alta Badia. It shares the first two pitches of Pescione ed Airona before breaking off left to follow the obvious steep crack and breach difficulties up to IX-. Protected by trad gear and pegs, the first free ascent was carried out by Gietl together with Andrea Oberbacher on 16 April 2015.
Getting there
Reach Kolfuschg / Colfoso in Gadertal / Alta Badia, then follow signs for Edelweisshütte and park at the start of the forest road. Access
Reach the Edelweisshütte and continue along the forest road. Above the trees traverse diagonally to reach the base of the face (45 minutes). The beautiful crack can be made out from below. Descent
Scramble easily upwards then descend rightwards, down the slopes to join up with path #4. Gear
2 sets of BD Cams up to #2, nuts, all pegs have been left in-situ. No bolts.
