4Matic is a moderate, never particularly demanding ice climb on Laaser Ferner Wand. It can be considered an interesting alternative to the existing routes, Defender and Blue Wave (both established by Roland Math and Thomas Hofer, 2016).

Laaser Ferner is a little-known ice climbing area. The Laasertal, a side valley of Vinschgau / Val Venosta, is a rarely visited area. However, those who are not afraid of a long approach will be rewarded with great climbing in an alpine environment and a breathtaking landscape!
