The eighth edition of the Red Bull X-Alps started in Salzburg, Austria this morning. 31 athletes will take part in this incredible 1138km traverse across the Alps by paraglider or on foot. Italian Aaron Durogati explains in the following video what lies in store.

European Climbing Championships Campitello di Fassa: Romain Desgranges (Fra) and Anak Verhoeven (Bel) are the new European Lead Champions. Today Aaron Durogati (ITA) and Sebastian Huber (GER) won the Leatherman Prologue, which marks the start of the Red Bull X-Alps 2017, the race across the Alps from Salzburg to Montecarlo by paraglider or on foot that kicks off on 2 July.

The IFSC European Climbing Championship (Lead and Speed) takes place from today until Saturday, July 1 at the ADEL Climbing Wall in Campitello di Fassa (Italy). 226 athletes from 21 different nations will take part in the most important competition of the year.
