Bouldering World Cup 2007 won by Fischhuber and Danion The Bouldering World Cup 2007 came to an end this weekend with the seventh stage in Brno, Czech Republic. Dmitry Sharafutdinov from Russia and Juliette Danion won this final stage while second placed Kilian Fischhuber from Austria won the overall 2007 title together with Danion.

Everest Super Sherpas Expedition This spring a team of Sherpas will attempt to beat the Everest speed record and the total number of individual ascents. The group, led by 16 times summiter Apa Sherpa and speed record holder Lhakpa Gelu Sherpa, aims to promoted the Sherpa culture and raise funds for Sherpa children.

Dhaulagiri, Cho Oyu, Everest On 09/04/07 Renzo Benedetti climbed to C1 on Dhaulagiri as did Mario Merelli and Mario Panzeri. Silvio Mondinelli, Marco Confortola and Alberto Maglianohave reached Kathmandu and are heading for Cho Oyu. Nives Meroi and Romano Benet are heading the Everest north side.

First repeat of Omar ribelle on Granta Parei On Tuesday 17 October Matteo Giglio and Germaine Roulet made the first repeat of "Omar ribelle" (250 m, ED+, 6c max, 6b+ obbl.), ascended in 1993 by Ezio Marlier and Salvatore Gagliano on the imposing limestone east face of Granta Parei (Val di Rhemes, valle d'Aosta).
