They told me you never stop learning, and they were right.
I internalized new skills on rock with passion, practice, perseverance until this became a way of expressing myself, dancing.
Through hard work and sacrifice I learnt how to climb 5b, then 6c and 7a, up to 8c, perhaps even harder.
Climbing yet another route often only half satisfies us, something is always missing that cannot be filled by yet another climb.
To progress we need to continue our journey forwards and then the time comes when one must learn to be penetrated by the beauty of what appears before us.
Could this perhaps be the secret of those who never want to stop, who continue to fuel the inner fire for this vertical love?
Perhaps the day will come when all we need to be happy is just a sip of this beautiful stone.
We’ll invent a new game with a new body, less willing to be rubber-molded like before, yet joined to a new mind, more sure and aware of the fact that discovering the direction of beauty really is the right one.
Be cause I see!
