A spectacular new granite sea cliff located halfway between Portixeddu and Capo Pecora in SW Sardinia. It is not located close the famous trad area but on a completely different side, on the other coast, the one overlooking Buggerru, in the Murru Biancu area. It is a sports sector, although there are also trad routes. The climbing is great fun and on mostly easy grades.
Apart from these crags, there are are also some trad climbs / sectors in the area that we ask remain as such. Likewise, on sports climbs there are no sections where it is necessary to use cams. This reflects our thinking and our desire to keep the two disciplines distinct.
Andomeda is located two kilometers from Portixeddu, one of the most beautiful and wildest beaches in Sardinia.
From Portixeddu head towards Capo Pecora but before reaching it, immediately after a descent, turn left onto a dirt road. Follow this to the end and park here (be careful, isolated place, do not leave valuables in the car). Walk past the barrier and immediately turn right following the cairns until you find a small depression that allows you to descend to the base of the cliff (5 minutes from the car).
NotesA second sector, Mikado, is located lower down and is access is slightly more complicated. Bolting is currently in progress, and it will only be completed if this crowdfunding is successful.
