Ferrino & The Glitch Camp by IED at Milano Design Week
Ferrino is pleased to support "The Glitch Camp", the free urban camping event organized by the European Institute of Design (IED) during Milano Design Week, open to students from around the world who responded to the call launched by IED.
Until April 21st, young designers will stay in Ferrino tents set up at the Milanosport - Centro Sportivo “Enrico Cappelli Savorelli” football field. An initiative involving up to 300 "glitchers" from 20 universities and 30 different nationalities: a true cultural melting pot of young people ready to discover Milan and experience all the opportunities offered by Design Week.
“We are thrilled,” says Anna Ferrino, CEO of Ferrino & Co. Spa, “to support IED and the designer community, offering new generations entering this field the opportunity to connect and share ideas in an urban environment that is quite unusual for camping, such as Milano Design Week. This initiative represents a unique opportunity to stimulate creativity and exchange of ideas in a dynamic and vibrant urban context, contrasting with the traditional imagery associated with camping, offering an innovative perspective in the world of design.”
Students will have the opportunity to stay in special tents, specifically those belonging to the Ferrino Tent Set line, the innovative modular system that, with the help of a configurator, allows you to create your custom tent in six simple steps.
Ferrino Tent Set is an eco-design project that allows, once the first tent is created, the replacement of individual components, thereby reducing resource consumption and material waste, aligning with the company's ongoing commitment to reducing its environmental impact.
It was 1870 and Cesare Ferrino began production of the fabric waterproofing formula that he had discovered, tested and perfected over time, on an industrial scale. It was a winning idea. Ferrino's story began here.
