Alpine Line Project: Borgnet and Joly climb Matterhorn with Gabarrou
The great Alpine Line Project continues: CAMP athletes Yann Borgnet and Yoann Joly started early February from Corsica and they are now closer to the granite heart of Central Alps, where the wonderful Piz Badile is waiting for them. They are realizing their dream that is inspired by Patrick Berhault: a complete Alps crossing - with no motorized means of transportation - climbing significant peaks and routes together with friends that they are meeting during the path.
So, after being forced to renounce to the Grandes Jorasses north face due its poor condition, in the last days the two young CAMP athletes climbed Mont Blanc and then the mountain of the mountains: the amazing Matterhorn. Of course, they didn't choose one of the normal routes but a super route on the south face: the difficult Padre Pio (900 m, 6c+) that Patrick Gabarrou first ascended in 2002 roped with Cesare Ravaschietto. The incredible news is that Borgnet and Joly climbed Padre Pio with its author: the living legend Gabarrou that is 64 years old but still super enthusiastic, with a lot of recollections of his collaboration with C.A.M.P.
During the Alpine Line Project, precisely on 25th April, Yann and Yoann first climbed Louna, a new 300-meter mixed route (M6+) on the north face of Aiguille de la Vanoise. Now our athletes have already reached another famous Alps region: the Bernese Oberland with its rock and ice giants like Jungfrau, Mönch and Eiger.

Passion, work and simplicity are some key-words that have always distinguished the way of doing of C.A.M.P.
The passion is the one for the mountain and for the products that help everyone that go out there to accomplish their dreams and projects; the work is the one handed on for more than 115 years by four different generations that succeeded to the helm of the company, and the simplicity that marks a way of doing and collaborating based on seriousness and fairness.
