Semifreddo climbs to the left of the classic Via Piaz, established by Tita Piaz and Sandro del Torso on 27 September 1933. After an easy approach pitch the route breaches the obvious roof with its crux pitch graded IX; the climbing is interesting and varied, but overall the route requires a certain mental strength, since the rock is not always of the best quality and some runouts are inevitable.
Getting there
Reach Passo Pordoi Access
From Passo Pordoi take path # 627 uptowards the Forcella Pordoi refuge. After about 40 minutes turn off right onto path #627 and traverse along to the base of the pillar. Semifreddo runs to the left of the classic Via Piaz - Del Torso (1933) which also leads to top of Punta Aurelia via the striking corner. Descent
Abseil down the route (the belays are equipped up but some additional pro may be required to backup the belays). Gear
Full rack, 14 quickdraws, cams, pegs, slings
