Great route in an isolated setting with a true alpine feel to it, also thanks to the long approach. While the difficulties are never excessive, the final sections of pitches five and six require special care and attention and are recommended therefore only to those with plenty of experience of this difficulty in the mountains.
Route finding is easy as the line of ascent is logical and follows the obvious gully. The wild and severe surroundings, coupled with the extraordinary panorama onto Collalto, make this a marvellous climb.
Getting there
Reach Antholzer / Anterselva (BZ) and continue towards Passo Stalle. After the international Biathlon centre park on the left, close to the small Tiroler Hütte bar / refuge before the Lake Antholzer. Itinerary
Route details on the topo. Descent
Abseil down the route or continue to the summit and descend via the NW Ridge. Notes
First repeat: Thomas Engel and Luca Monfrini on 18/04/2014
