Yannick Boissenot and Julien Herry, two of the usual suspects, have once again set off in search of the remotest corners to ski down close to Chamonix. In January the two took their skis and snowboard to the Aiguilles Rouges massif where they made the first descent of what they have called Diagonal, namely a narrow couloir that cuts diagonally down the Épaule sud, the south shoulder of Grande Floria.
"The line is short by very committing" Boissenot told planetmountain.com. Pica Herry had identified the line and duo skied it "simply because the line is very aesthetic."
