| Jacques Perrin’s Le Peuple Migrateur has won the 50th International Festival of Mountains, Exploration and Adventure “Città di Trento”. The Italian Alpine Club Prize – Gold Gentian for the best film on mountaineering was awarded to The Ghosts of K2 by Mick Conefrey, while the Silver Gentian for the best mountain film was awarded to Les Funambules du Yang Tsé by Patricia Micallef and Fulvio D’Aguanno. Of the various other prizes worth mentioning is UIAA Award for Heinz Zak’s "Bellavista", a film that documents Alexander Huber’s first winter ascent and then summer free ascent on the Cima Ovest of the Tre Cime di Lavaredo. An adventurous journey through precious period footage told through interviews with the protagonists of the time.
Silver Gentian for the best mountain film LES FUNAMBULES DU YANG TSÃ by Patricia Micallef and Fulvio D’Aguanno (Francia) A short film about a village deep in the mountains of China. A story that turns, as if by magic, into a universal metaphor. The simple but vibrant tale of the remarkable inventiveness of people faced with the obstacles imposed by their mountain home. A poetic story about the life of a community.

Silver Gentian for the best film on exploration LOS CUEVEROS by Fulvio Mariani (Switzerland) for the surprising ability to capture the effort and beauty of a journey deep into the caves of Cuba.
Silver Gentian for the best film on Sport and Sport Adventure JUMP by Allen Hill and John Catto (U.S.A.) a documentary on a very unusual sport that has evolved in one area of Europe (Czech Republic).
prize for the best film by an Italian director ULTIMATE GUIDE: ICEMAN by Brando Quilici (Italia) the narrative liveliness with which the story of the Simulaun man is told.

MUSTANG by Pavol Barabàs (Slovakia) for the chromatic richness, attention for the changing tones and the ability to capture the isolation and diversity of the splendid and little-known Kingdom of Lo in Nepal.
