The Youth World Climbing Championship [YWC 2000] gets underway in Amsterdam today
The Youth World Climbing Championship [YWC 2000] gets underway in Amsterdam's Sporthallen Zuid at 9.00 am today. Over 300 athletes between the ages of 14-19 will represent 31 different countries in this three day event organised by the Dutch Mountaineering and Climbing Club (NKBV).

The athletes will compete for the six Difficulty and Speed titles on offer and are divided into three categories according to age: Youth B (born in 1985 and 1986) Youth A (born in 1983 and 1984) and Junior (born in 1981 and 1982).
