Les jeux son fait! Tomas Mrazek and Angela Eiter pushed it right to the limit to win the World Cup Difficulty 2004 in Kranj last weekend.. The World Champion, crazy, unpredictable and, in the past, inconsistant, and the young Austrian super promise held their nerves to win their first-ever World Cup victory. In a thrilling final, and World Cup year, the two beat the undisputed dominators of the circuit, Alexandre Chabot and Muriel Sarkany. After winning in 2003, 2002 and 2001, it finally looks as if even they are not unbeatable. In the men's event Evgueni Ovtchinnikov from Russia placed second in Kranj, and Jorg Verhoeven placed third, while Natalija Gros and Maja Vidmar sent the home crowd into frenzy by placing second and third. In the overall 2004 men's standings, Tomas Mrazek won with 560 points, while Alexandre Chabot placed second with 516 points, and Flavio Crespi placed third with 333 points. As mentioned above, Angela Eiter won with 535 points, just 10 points ahead of Muriel Sarkany. Alexandra Eyer and Natalija Gros placed third equal with 364 points.
