Italian Youth Championship at Arco

From tomorrow until Monday Arco will host the youngest climbers, namely those in the categories Under 14 , 12 and 10, while from 6 – 8 June it'll be the turn for the categories Under 20 , 18, 16. All will compete in the 3 disciplines: Speed, Boulder and Lead.. Needless to say, the Italian Championship is an important test to measure and compare their abilities. And it goes without saying that all the best Italian athletes have always taken part in this great climbing celebration.

This year the routes will be set by Leonardo Di Marino and Luigi Billoro, the route setters of the legendary Rock Master competition that will take place from 28 – 31 August. This will be followed, from 5 – 7 September, by another great Rock Master Festival event: the European Youth Boulder Championship. A true invasion of youngsters is expected for this event... that acts as the prelude to an even bigger event: the World Youth Championship that takes place in Arco in 2015. But for all of this there's still plenty of time, in the meantime check out the youngsters in the competition tomorrow: they're the future of climbing.
