Salewa Rock Show 2013 at Città dei Sassi (Sassolungo, Dolomites)

The following day the group travelled to Val Gardena and the enchanting Città dei Sassi, the city of rocks together with the talented boulderer and young Salewa team athlete Niccolò Ceria.

A weekend immersed in the beautiful Dolomites, high above Val Gardena, during which Matilda Segui and Danilo Marchionne were elected "Climber of the Day" at the end of a thrilling final on a problem set by Ceria specifically for the occasion.

Segui and Marchionne will now have the chance to continue their Rock Show on 18 July when when they return to Bolzano Cube to compete against the best climbers selected from the other Rock Show circuits that are currently taking place in Austria, the Czech Republic, France, Spain, Switzerland, Germany, China and South Korea.

The Rock Show is a great event, a long journey from one stage to the next that brings to life a vertical adventure without boundaries.

CITY DREAMERS - a short story by Paolo Cattaneo

"During my travels I have seen many cities, not all obviously, let's just say some. In these there were always many people, houses, cars, roads, antennas, lights and other things, some nice, others a little less. So I asked myself: are all cities like these? I don't know, maybe I should see them all, but maybe that still wouldn't suffice.

Then, almost by chance, I met Martina, Matilda, Lara, Vanessa, Andrea, Danilo, Raffaele,Francesco e Alex, nine splendid young climbers who introduced me to a new city, the city of their dreams. I followed them around for two days, from dawn to dusk, in a city where there are no roads or traffic lights, where if you want to get about you need a strong heard, legs and a great desire to get into the game.

No queues, smog or noises, nothing but harmony designed by Mother Nature. And good friends with whom I tried to play the vertical game. I found the real answer to my questions by looking into their eyes. I undestood that a city like this one is first dreamed of, then enjoyed and taken care of.

Sometimes dreams are too short, but what is important is to be there, ready to enjoy the experience, just like these youngsters did..

Og, I almost forgot, the city of dreams actually exists, they told me it's called CITTA’ DEI SASSI, the place which just held the beautiful Rock Show."
