On the 2nd of December 2022 Mari Salvesen freed a long term project of hers at Tellnes close to Bergen in Western Norway. The route starts up an easy slab, then tackles a steep roof crack before finishing more easily but somewhat boldly up the final headwall. Turning the lip and getting established in the groove is akin to a long F7C+ boulder problem, and the 33-year-old worked the project intermittently over the last 4 years - at times even on her own - before coming up trumps when her form and conditions aligned.

Life and climbing partner Pete Whittaker grabbed the second ascent shortly afterwards. Judging by the desperate foot jam beta, Tazlov fully deserves its 8b grade.

The ace all-around climber made headline news in early 2022 when she became only the second person to flashed the notorious offwidth Belly Full of Bad Berries at Indian Creek, USA.
