La Severina 2.0, new climbs at the spectacular crag in Campania, Italy

This spring La Severina, the spectacular crag in Cilento in Campania, Italy, was developed further and currently features 30 pitches ranging from 6b to 8b+. Rolando Larcher provides the info, while a video by Sergio Morra introduces this 'overhanging forest of stalactites' located between San Severino di Centola and the sea at Palinuro.

Heading south is by now a ritual, and rituals there to pay homage to what we love, what we are passionate about. Thus, as a result, we give thanks to ourselves, to the divine who dwells within us. Rituals keep us healthy, they heal us from sufficiency. They bring us closer to Nature.

Here's this video souvenir that sums up what has been done to far. Made with photos and footage we had tat the time, technically it's nothing special but for us it contains a thousand little stories.

LA SEVERINA 2.0
The first information about Severina came out in the spring 2021 and the reports enthusiastically described the great quality and beauty of this splendid crag in Campania, actually, in the Cilento!

Since then our close-knit group has continued to bolt and free 30 pitches. It's a 50% increase in what was established 2 years ago, and that's why this crag update was necessary.

For the relaunch of Severina I'm happy to share this short amateur video, the result of good luck, a love for climbing and above all the friendship with Sergio Morra. During our last trip to Palinuro, Sergio accompanied us: climbing and flying his new drone. This carefree video took shape by combining his footage with our photos, and by adding the soundtrack I suggested.

Thanks go to Sergio for the editing, to Luigi and Gerardina Merola, Raffaele Di Domenico and Diego Errico for their support and for their solid friendship. And thanks also go to the flight assistant Francesco Imbriaco.

P.S. La Severina was totally self-financed and is the result of our love and drive for climbing.
