Help save Magic Wood's climber-run camping and hotel
The climbing community is being asked to help save the climber-run campsite, hotel and restaurant at Magic Wood in Switzerland by signing an online petition that was launched yesterday by the boulderers, ice climbers, ski tourers, hikers and friends of Magic Wood.
For the last decade the accommodation has been run by local climber Thomas Saluz, a.k.a. Bodhi Climbing, and it is largely due to him that access to one of the world's premier bouldering spots has been guaranteed in the past, even when the area was threatened by closure.
His incessant work has been appreciated by climbers worldwide and is backed up by raving reviews on platforms such as Tripadvisor, Facebook and Google, making the local council's decision to abruptly terminate the lease all the more bewildering.
The petition launched by the local outdoor community will run until the start of August, as on the 6th the arbitration board will meet and decide on the fate of the facilities. It goes without saying that the more signatures there are, the better.
If you wish to do sign the petition, please note that signing process must be completed in 3 distinct stages:
1. add name, surname and email
2. add address and country, and comment (not obligatory)
3. confirm your signature by clicking on the link sent via email
