The traditional, and international, Dolorock Climbing Festival took place this year from 1 to 31 July in Valle di Landro, Dolomites. Due to the pandemic, the team of organisers belonging to the Gamatzn climbing club decided not to hold the festival on a single day as usual - every year around 200-300 climbers take part in the event - but instead spread the meeting out over the entire month of July. Climbers were therefore able to choose when to come and climb at the numerous crags in the valley.

For the first time the participants were able to register their climbs online via their personal scorecard. This year a total of 140 climbers from 5 different countries took part in the festival, climbing over 700 routes in the Lando Valley.

The Dolorock winners in 2021 are:
Women: 1. Maja Gritsch, 2. Matilda Moar, 3. Nadja Fauster
Men: 1. Pietro Cattani, 2. Christian Trandafir, 3. Schweigl Julian
Average value: 1. Helmut Rauchegger, 2. Ilaria Carlomagno, 3. Katja Hofer
Most routes: 1. Maja Gritsch, 2. Christian Trandafir, 3. Michael Kofler

The Gamatzn club, together with Sport Holzer from San Candido, are pleased with the successful outcome despite the pandemic and look forward to the next meeting in 2022!
