Diego Sirtori repeating Play the cross 8c, Scudi di Valgrande, Valsassina, Lecco, Italy
Diego Sirtori has repeated "Play the cross" 8c at Valgrande, with 120 routes one of the most important crags in the Lecco region of Northern Italy.
Play the cross is located in the Scudi sector and is Sirtori describes the route as follows "the route came to life thanks to the inspiration and intuition of Stefano Alippi, who also freed the line. The route has been repeated by climbers such as Cristian Brenna, Giacomo Cominotti and a couple of others, and is a powerful 50 move stamina test. Compared to when it was first ascended, the route has suffered over time, a hold has broken off and others have become smaller, rendering the route more problematic. In any case the route remains 8c."
In the past Sirtori had repeated another 8c, Sitos at the Grotta di Mandello close by, while in 2008 he placed second in the Regional Lead Cup.
