A decade after making headline news with his flash ascent of Jade in the Rocky Mountain National Park, USA, Adam Ondra has flashed 8B+ once again with his flawless ascent of El Elegido at La Pedriza in Spain. Put up by Beto Rocasolano, the problem was originally graded 8B+/C, but Ondra believes the line doesn't warrant the slashgrade. Nevertheless the 31-year-old Czech climber explained that his ascent constitutes "possibly the bouldering flash ascent that I value the most."

Ondra ended the day by making the first ascent of the 8B+ problem Elemental, featured in the photo. In the past Ondra has bouldered up to 8C+ and his unrepeated 2011 pièce de résistanceTerranova, may well be even harder than he originally thought.
