Two new mixed climbs on Mëisules dala Biesces (Sella, Dolomites)
While repeating the ice climb Dragon, I noticed on the opposite side on Mëisules dala Biesces two new drips that did not touch the ground. I immediately reckoned that the first mixed pitches could be interesting, so two days later I contacted Martin Sölva and we started up the first line on the left. The result was a beautiful first pitch up an overhanging crack which we graded M6, and a second ice pitch graded WI 4+.
Two days later Emanuele Andreozzi and I climbed the drip on the right, which provided us another beautiful, physical pitch through an overhanging crack with excellent hooks and excellent protection, graded M6+. The second pitch was far less physical, and turned out to be technical and delicate, circa M5 and WI 5 with a few meters of loose and unprotectable ice, which fortunately improved as we got higher. We called the two routes Alpinewelten and Dünnes Wasser respectively.
