On 22 February tireless Giovanni Ravizza and I established a small ice and mixed climb close to the Toula glacier. The couloir is located below Torrione di Entrèves, between Aiguille de la Brenva and the Toula glacier.

The approach is great fun because it's downhill, by skiing the right branch of the Toula glacier, while the return is a ski descent towards pavillon

I saw this line a while ago while taking the Skyway cable car, and I've always wondered if anyone had climbed it before. I asked various colleagues and friends for information and since nobody knew anything, we reckon it had probably never been climbed before.

On Tuesday 21st March I phoned the ever-psyched Giovanni Ravizza and on Wednesday 22nd February we set off to discover the couloir which turned out to be a little ice and mixed climbing gem. Goulotte Les Dégaines disparu takes its name from the fact that we dropped a quickdraw at the start of the route and never found it in the fresh snow!
