Mike Bowyer and Tom Schindfessel have established 'La Suerte viene la suerte se va' on the northeast face of Cashan Oueste (5732m) in Peru. The 600m outing was climbed on the 12 July 2024 and breaches difficulties up to 6b / C1. The new route takes a weaving line between the route put up by Mark Richey and Barry Rugo in July 1993 and Andean Kingdom, put up by Iker Pou, Eneko Pou, Manu Ponce in 2019.

Writing to planetmountain after the ascent, Schindfessel explained "My hands finally warm up as the sun hits the face. As I’m laughing with excitement at the unprecedented quality of the rock, a foothold snaps under my weight and I find myself airborne. I hear Mike moaning in pain as he gets hit by the bowling-sized blocks I knocked off.

After 4 pitches we realize we were too high and rappel down a rope length to access the part of the face leading to the south summit. We keep moving, alternating between pitching out and simul-climbing, making it to the summit for sunset. We rappel through the night, partially using the anchors the Pou brothers installed during their ascent."
