Mont Blanc, not just Goulotte Cherè

Elio Bonfanti introduces three gullies on Mont Blanc: the Bournier Vogler and the Perroux Profit on the NW Face of Aiguille du Midi, as well as the Goulotte Laratoun on Grand Capucin.
These three gullies are an ideal introduction to alpine ice, each with their own distinctive personality but they all have one thing in common: an easy approach.

The ascents on the French side can easily be carried out in a single day, returning to Chamonix via the Aiguille du Midi cable car which is reached via one of the most panoramic crests in the entire Mont Blanc range, the crest du Cosmiques.

The gully on Grand Capucin can be reached after a relaxing night spent in the Italian Rifugio Torino. This will allow for plenty of time to enjoy the climb and not worry about rushing for the final lift back down to valley.
