Carlalberto 'Cala' Cimenti is an Italian mountaineer and traveller who, exhausted by his Himalayan endeavors, decided to conquer new horizons in pursuit of the Snowleopard prize, awarded to those who reach the summit of all five mountains above 7,000 m in the ex-Soviet Union.

Two years and four summits since the start of his first journey, Cala finds himself on the eve of his expedition to Communism Peak, where he may well become the first Italian to receive the Snowleopard prize. This film recounts the years of efforts that culminated, on 19th August at 11.17am, in the successful summit. In achieving this Cimenti became the first Italian to receive the honourable Snowleopard prize and the first in the world to ski down this mountain.

At the end of July the film will be screened for the first time as a movie selected for the Adventure Outdoor Film Fest in San Candido and in the upcoming months it will tour the best european mountain film festivals.
