Yet another Dolomite summer raid for the young Slovenians Luka Krajnc and Luka Lindič who while on-sighting the Martini-Leoni-Tranquillini route (XI-, 650m) up the beautiful North Face of Rocchetta Alta in the Bosconero mountain chain spied a line up the prominent overhanging arête to the right.

The two immediately set to work and in a total of four days established a circa 650m line with difficulties up to VIII+. No bolts were placed up the 13 pitches, and the route was subsequently freed in a single day.

Lindic explained: "We believe our route is harder than Martini-Leoni-Tranquillini because of run-out and sustained climbing. The line is really amazing,  always following arête more or less, and in some places this feels really exposed. In general the rock is very good and  you mostly climb using only natural protection, but we left  all the pitons we used in-situ. We had a great time  climbing on Rocchetta Alta and at the Bosconero hut, and we named our route "Forest Gump" after the funny goat at the Bosconero hut. We would like to thank Monica, Christian and staff for their hospitality."
