Arc'teryx Alpine Academy 2016 at Chamonix
In mid-June the small French town of Chamonix and the Mont Blanc slopes will host the fifth Arc'teryx Alpine Academy, a meeting where beginners and experts alike can improve their skills and techniques for climbing and mountaineering together with expert mountain guides.
The Academy will take place from 16 - 19 June and there will be circa 20 different clinics and seminars run by mountain guides, athletes and other pros who, starting from the Aiguille du Midi cable car, will set off to examine a series of different themes at altitude: alpine climbing, crevasse rescue, a bivy course, introduction to ice climbing, high altitude medicine, navigation and orienteering in the mountains, trad climbing, mountain photography and much more... there are even some workshops specifically for women.
Like every year the weekend is offered at cut-prices and there's also the chance to test gear provided by Arc’teryx and the partners companies. Registration is now online.
