At the start of January a young Slovenian team established 'Story about dancing dogs', a new 21 pitch 7c+ on Mount Poi, Northern Kenya.

In late November Luka Fonda, Rok Sisernik, Stanko Gruden, Matjaz Jeran, Goran Koren and Daniela Blettler travelled 800km north of Nairobi to the 700m high gneiss big wall, where they quickly repeated 'True at the first light', first ascended by Todd Skiner, Paul Piana, Milton and Bechel in 2000 and graded 5.13b (8a). Matjaz Jeran on-sighted all but the final pitch, which he subsequently redpointed, feeling the route to be more like 7c.

They then got to work on their route, which they bolted on abseil. Due to poor rock they modified four holds, feeling that there was no other way through the otherwise blank sections. In total they spent 25 days working the route, before the successul repoint ascent from 1 January - 6. January 2003. Jeran and Sisernik spent 5 nights on the wall to create 'Story about dancing dogs', before Koren paraglided from the top.

Their thanks go to the local Samburu people, whose logistical help proved invaluble.
