Malga Spora - Croz del Giovan
Malga Spora is a beautiful mountain crag located in a charming setting in the Brenta Dolomites. This corner of the park is rarely visited since it is off the beaten track, but recently there has been considerable development with the addition of a number of interesting sport routes and this crag. Located at an altitude of 1900m it’s a great choice for the warmer months; the quality of the climbing and proximity to Malga Spora make it an interesting alternative for those seeking the tranquility this enchanting place can offer.
From Andalo (Loc. Maso Pegorar) take path #301 towards Malga Spora; this crosses the forest road from Cavedago (Loc. Priori), follow this until the hairpin bend where path #301 breaks away and enters the valley. This path leads beneath the North Face of Cima Dagnola, shortly after “Fontana Fredda” it provides sweeping views onto Sasso San Giovanni on the left and Monte Fibbion on the right. From here continue up to a fork with path #353; this leads to the base of Sasso San Giovanni and the crag. At the fork continue along #301 to quickly reach the Malga Spora alpine meadows.
