Unstoppable Janja Garnbret wins also in Briançon and continues to dominate Lead Climbing World Cup
Third success in a row in the Lead World Cup 2016 for young CAMP athlete Janja Garnbret.
Pouring rain and wet holds didn't stop Janja Garnbret in Briançon. Janja was again amazing and after a great fight she got her 3rd consecutive success in 2016 Lead Climbing World Cup, consolidating the 1st place in the general ranking. Now Janja has 300 points – 100 more than the 2nd – and this means great strength for the next stages of the World Cup, that will continue on 19th and 20th August in Imst (Austria).
After having dominated youth competitions, 17 years old Janja is almost a rookie in senior category. So, looking at these results, it's obvious to say that in the next years she will be the athlete to beat. More, considering all 12 finals, semifinals and qualifications routes of 2016 World Cup, Janja hasn't been beaten by anybody. In Briançon she ever reached the top – although in the final she was timed out – exciting thousands of enthusiasts and fans.
C.A.M.P. strongly congratulates Janja: we are proud and happy to cooperate with one of the strongest climbers in the world, that despite her young age is already a super bright star of climbing universe.Ph. Thecircuitclimbing.com
