For the alpine challenges of tomorrow – Stephan Siegrist, Dani Arnold and David Lama present Mammut’s new Eiger Extreme Collection in action
The Swiss mountain sports equipment manufacturer Mammut is unveiling the fourth generation of the Eiger Extreme Collection and setting new standards in alpine sports equipment with innovative technologies and materials. On the eve of the official retail launch of the completely redesigned collection of highly technical products, an exclusive event takes place on Thursday evening, August 31, 2017, in Switzerland’s largest premium department store, Jelmoli in Zurich. A selected audience has the chance to marvel at the sight of the Mammut Pro Team athletes Stephan Siegrist, Dani Arnold and David Lama presenting the new Eiger Extreme Collection on a specially constructed climbing wall.
Dr. Oliver Pabst, CEO of the Mammut Sports Group, is there to greet the invited guests personally. Adrian Margelist, the new creative talent in the Mammut management team is also mingling with attendees at this ceremonious event, compered by the famous Swiss entertainer René Rindlisbacher. The entire Jelmoli store is illuminated in the Eiger Extreme colors of orange and blue for the occasion, with acoustic accompaniment provided by Eliana Burki on the alphorn. However, the real highlight of the evening is the appearance of the Mammut Pro Team athletes Steph Siegrist, Dani Arnold and David Lama. They have played an important role in developing the collection right from the start. After acting as advisers and testers during the development phase, they are now presenting the latest technical advances and special features of the collection at breathtaking heights. For the space of an evening, they are swapping their usual environment of the world’s highest mountains and north faces for the interior of Jelmoli. In front of the assembled guests, they provide a practical demonstration of the functionality of the Eiger Extreme clothing by climbing to the fourth floor of the building.
Every aspect of this evening event emphasizes the exclusiveness and uniqueness of Mammut’s new Eiger Extreme Collection, and clearly illustrates the high standards set for the products. Innovative technologies, including Mammut High ReachTM and the latest GORE-TEX® materials make the new Eiger Extreme Collection the ideal companion for alpinists in any extreme situation.
Mammut Eiger Extreme
Extreme products for extreme applications: now in its fourth generation, the new Mammut Eiger Extreme collection is still setting standards for alpine mountain sports clothing. Rather than building on the functionality, lightness and design of previous successes - the entire collection has been completely redesigned, and in many cases realigned to the needs of climbing athletes. Abrasion-proof textiles and new combinations of materials withstand extreme mechanical strains and offer maximum protection against climatic influences. The result is a new Eiger collection developed in close cooperation with top athletes from the Mammut Pro team who, like the first generation from 1995, are not only defining the changing face of mountain sports, but playing their part in shaping it. - Download the Mammut Extreme 2017/2018 catalogue Info: www.mammut.comExpo / News
