Janja Garnbret climbs her first 8c+!

The future of women sport climbing belongs to Janja Garnbret! In 2015 Janja dominated World Youth Championships in Arco (Italy) winning Lead and Boulder competitions; but also on rock the 16-year old Slovenian athlete achieved amazing results: first place at Melloblocco, her first 8b on sight and her first 8c. Eventually, in the last days, Janja climbed Miza za šest (Table for six) in Kotečnik (Slovenia) that is her first 8c+. Janja tried the route a couple of times during the summer and on 31st October she came back to her project, getting it at the second try of the day. Her coach Gorazd Hren said us that Miza za šest connects Adrenalin (8b) and Katakombe (8b+), two routes that Janja had already climbed. But the four tries that she needed to climb Miza za šest are anyway surprising. During the last summer, despite very hot weather that didn't help climbers to send their projects, Janja managed to climb some great routes. Always in Kotečnik, that is one of the most important Slovenian crags, she climbed the above mentioned Adrenalin (8b), Masaker (8b) and Iluzija (8c). So, together with Stefano Ghisolfi and his 9b, Janja has given to C.A.M.P. another great satisfaction. We congratulate both, waiting for new amazing achievements!
