After the good start in Andorra, CAMP athletes got great results in the 2nd stage of the 2016 Ski mountaineering World Cup last week-end in Valtellina, Italy.
After the good start in Andorra, CAMP athletes got great results also in the second stage of the 2016 Ski-mountaineering World Cup that took place last week-end in Valtellina, North of Italy. The role of the local organizing committee proved fundamental in being able to put on the event despite the very difficult snow and weather conditions.
In the Individual race, Michele Boscacci achieved an incredible 2nd place crossing the finish line only 8 hundredths of a second after the winner: it needed the photo-finish to establish the right positions. Robert Antonioli got the 4th place and Matteo Eydallin was 9th. Concerning women, Katia Tomatis gained a very good 5th place and Martina Valmassoi was 7th. In the youth categories, Federico Nicolini was 5th in the Espoir and the excellent Davide Magnini dominated and won the Junior race.
From the Individual to the Sprint race, where Robert Antonioli reached the 2nd place, Michele Boscacci the 6th and Federico Nicolini the 10th (4th in the Espoir category). Martina Valmassoi was 5th in the female race and Davide Magnini was able to make another great performance, reaching the 3rd place in the Junior category.
