C.A.M.P. designer Andrea Ratti is new member of Ragni di Lecco!

Young C.A.M.P. designer Andrea Ratti is one of the new members of Ragni di Lecco (Lecco Spiders): the Italian climbing group made famous in the world by legends like Riccardo Cassin, Carlo Mauri, Walter Bonatti and Casimiro Ferrari. This is a great result for Andrea but also a great pleasure for C.A.M.P.: an authentic mountain company whose staff is made by climbing and mountain enthusiasts. Andrea Ratti is 25 and lives in Premana, the mountain village where C.A.M.P. is based since 1889. Andrea is a super strong sport climber, able to win Italian Youth Championships and to achieve good results also in European senior competitions. Until now he has got routes to 8a on-sight and 8c redpoint like the historical Spirit Walker on Masso Goldrake (Sasso Remenno area, Masino valley, Italy). Andrea climbed also hard multipitch routes in Rätikon massif (Switzerland) and the very challenging La spada nella roccia on Mount Qualido east face (Masino valley). La spada nella roccia was first ascended in 1989 by Tarcisio and Ottavio Fazzini from Premana: thanks to Andrea and his climbing mate Luca Gianola – who is from Premana too – it is now the icon of a great climbing tradition that continues. «I'm really happy to be a member of Ragni di Lecco, a legendary group that wrote great pages of alpinism history» Andrea says. «Now I'm even more motivated to get my targets, to become stronger and stronger in sport climbing and to climb soon some nice and difficult multipitch routes».
