Founder Agustina Lagos Marmol and her team organize trips that allow travelers to traverse valleys, experiencing different alpine huts (rifugios) and cultures each night.
The highlights of Rifugio trips include not only the beautiful scenery but the luxurious mountain lodges where travelers will rest at night. Three course meals are served and prepared by a local family that sources most of the ingredients from the farms you walked through. Travelers can have private rooms with bathrooms ensuite, complete with clean sheets and welcoming notes from the innkeepers.
The example itinerary lets hikers visit by foot three of the Dolomite Ladin valleys rich in traditions and customs that recall ancient times. Wild alpine meadows, deciduous and evergreen woods, high altitude lunar-like terrain soaring peaks, dramatic walls and towering heights alternate with the refined South Tyrolean towns of Val Gardena and Alta Badia and hidden delicious mountain inns that we encounter during our daily hikes.
